The PHF Moisture Free Air Generator employs Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology to remove moisture from ordinary compressed air. The compressed air initially passes through an inlet coalescing filter where solid contaminants, condensed moisture and oils are removed via an auto drain. The 3-way solenoid valve [1] then directs the air into one of two desiccant chambers [2] where the water vapor is removed.

The dry air leaves the desiccant chamber via air tubes [3] through the shuttle valve [4], through the outlet filter-regulator and then onto the application. A precision orifice [5] in the outlet shuttle allows a portion of the purified air to be redirected back through the off–line tower, purging the accumulated moisture.

The purge air exits via a 3-way solenoid valve [1] and muffler. A solid state timer governs the process by controlling the 3-way valve for a continuous supply of dry air.
