After the completion of our dream house in San Antonio, Texas, it is now time to fill up the space inside our home sweet home. We consulted our friend, who is a certified interior designer and we told her that we want a Zen motif with a bit of a minimalist style because we want a very tranquil home that we can retreat on after a stressful day. We want a style portraying simplicity and cleanliness.
Having said what we want, she immediately accompanied us to do some furniture shopping. We went to different Texas furniture store and looked for the set of furniture that will suit our home style. Zen style of home provides a calm and quiet place and hence a clutter free room is necessary. So our interior designer friend told us to buy storage cabinets or bins in order for us to store things that are seldom used. A Zen home also incorporates metal, chrome, whites, creams, and very simple straight lines designs in the furniture that we will buy. This kind of design, as what she had said to us, will give you the calm feeling that will inspire you to sit down, relax or take a sleep.
Zen style of home is definitely what we want. It is so nice to go home to after a busy day.
